被視為美國普普藝術家代表性人物之一，紐約傳奇塗鴉大師凱斯哈林（Keith Haring）最為人知的便是那簡單粗線條和鮮明的創作色彩，明亮活潑的普普風格中，生命、死亡、戰爭、以及自由都成為他的創作靈感。透過極高辨識度的創作傳遞對世界的關懷、社會議題的重視。他畢生創作量驚人，80年代起哈林走訪紐約的各個地鐵站，尋找空白的廣告板，以白色粉筆勾勒簡單的粗線條，源源不絕的創作能量也讓大眾為之驚艷。

本次「普普．塗鴉 凱斯哈林特展 Keith Haring: Multiplexism」自本月20日起在國立歷史博物館一樓展出，開幕記者會上更找來了新銳藝術家Colasa以Keith Haring的精神為靈感進行現場創作。本次將展出日本中村凱斯哈林美術館 (Nakamura Keith Haring Collection)所珍藏的133件凱斯哈林作品，包含畫作、雕塑、海報以及數件1980年代凱斯哈林在地鐵中的塗鴉作品。其中更包含他最為人所知的〈圖像系列〉另外更於展場播放記錄片『凱斯哈林的奇幻世界(The Universe of Keith Haring, 2008)』，讓民眾能夠透過影像更加進一步了解這位塗鴉奇才。本展透過全面且多元的方式，引領民眾走入凱斯哈林的世界、探索其作品背後所蘊含的意義。
