慶祝位於市區的新店面開幕，美國精品百貨Barneys New York舉辦了一場愛滋慈善競標籌款活動 The Black Leather Jacket ，本次請來眾多知名的時裝設計師，包括Alexander Wang、Dries Van Noten、 Givenchy設計師Riccardo Tisci，以及藝術家Helmut Lang、Marilyn Minter、Rob Pruitt……等人，為黑色皮衣創作、進行慈善拍賣，同時也與紐約歷史最悠久的非營利藝廊White Columns以及LGBT社區攜手合作。

Barneys 在1986年也曾舉行一場造福愛滋機構的慈善拍賣，不同的是當時用牛仔外套來創作，20年後的今日 The Black Leather Jacket 改以使用典型的黑色皮外套對當年致敬，本次一共23件皮衣作品目前已在官方正式開始競標，大家可參閱活動網站以了解詳情。
