Mark Howard Thomas 在 Helmut Lang 擔任男裝設計總監已兩年，目前已經離開該品牌，並回到巴黎，也即將在法國高級休閒品牌 Lacoste 擔任男裝設計師一職。

Thomas是一位經歷豐富的男裝設計師，在他到Helmut Lang之前，曾在英國知名品牌Joseph工作。而這次轉任Lacoste的男裝設計師，如外界所預期的，他將會和前同事Louise Trotter團聚， Louise Trotter – 去年十月才被任命為Lacoste史上第一位女性創意總監。
Thomas在Joseph工作時，廣受好評。而在今年一月的紐約時裝周，他也發表了他在Helmut Lang的首次設計，今年九月的紐約時裝周上，他才為Helmut Lang策畫了一場大受好評的時裝大秀。

Thomas擁有倫敦中央聖馬丁設計學院的碩士學位，在畢業後則是從Neil Barrett開啟他的工作生涯，隨後又到了當時還是由Riccardo Tisci擔任創意總監的Givenchy工作，最後才到Joseph，也是在這裡認識Louise Trotter的。
雖然Mark Howard Thomas已經確認離開了Helmut Lang，但品牌表示目前還沒有決定接任其職位的人選，而原本和他一起共事，擔任Helmut Lang Jeans創意總監的Thomas Cawson，將會堅守在他的崗位上。
