# Alexander McQueen:為何設計師鍾愛採用 紅色玫瑰 元素?

大家也許知道,也很常看到Alexander McQueen 最常使用在自己設計中的一大元素,正是紅色玫瑰,無論是針織或是緹花上的花形,或是印花、刺繡,到整件拼接堆疊出如同一朵玫瑰的連身裙,甚至還有完全使用新鮮玫瑰做的禮服。可說是McQueen最鍾愛的元素,雖然知道紅色也是McQueen的代表色之一,但是大家應該很好奇為什麼要用玫瑰的原因吧? 

 

 

McQueen曾說到: “我做的所有事情都是為了和自然做連結”。這句話也開啟了這周末在倫敦Alexander McQueen旗艦店展開的展覽 – Roses。這個展覽除了展現McQueen對花朵的喜愛,還一路串聯到了Sarah 的時代,最經典的就是2019秋冬Sarah所展示的紅色絲綢玫瑰禮服和McQueen在2007年春夏發表的玫瑰禮服。裡面最經典的當然還是McQueen那件以上百朵真花打造的禮服,McQueen說過: “我用花是因為他們會枯萎。沒有甚麼是永恆的,所以這個設計才會有脆弱的部分,是在說明沒有甚麼是永遠的,美貌會消失,很多東西都是一體兩面,像是美麗的容貌和衰老、生命和死亡。”因此”自然”就成了McQueen靈感的泉源,而這次展覽的主題Roses也提到: “花朵代表自然力量的根源。”

Sarah Burton藉由這次的展覽,將McQueen從2007年串接至今,主旨在於讓大家感受品牌的歷程,每一季的設計手稿和照片都一併展出,也複製了工作室中用來打版的桌子,還同步放映了工作室日常的影片。也同時開放讓學校老師帶領學生來參觀授課,未來也打算出借場地給所有大專院校作為使用。編輯認為這次的展覽是一種傳承,用記憶過去的方式繼續編寫品牌的未來同時,也讓新上任的總監不忘品牌的初衷,將品牌以自己的風格重生!
