urbanhail是由哈佛學生團隊研發的APP，該學生團隊只有5人。在美國波士頓除了Uber、計程車，還有Lyft、SafeHer等叫車接送服務，常常會讓人不知該從何選擇，該團隊研發urbanhail便是為了幫助用戶找到最快、最便宜的乘車方式。只要輸入地址，便會計算出手機裡的叫車APP中搭車的時間及價格。原本的urbanhail提供了Uber、Lyft以及一般計程車的比價資訊，但今年5/31日開始，Uber終止了urbanhail採計Uber數據的權限。

Uber公司對urbanhail提出了抗議。Uber要求urbanhail不能在他們的比價APP中加入Uber的資料，最後Uber公司直接終止了urbanhail對Uber的API存取權限。但這似乎跟Uber最初想與計程車公平競爭、共享經濟的理念有所牴觸了。
