原就職於美容院的君塚涼太(Ryota kimiduka),因為一場交通事故導致腰骨受傷,無法久站、行走困難的他決意畫風一轉,從執刀髮型輪廓變成裁縫服裝版型,並在 2013 年獨自創立品牌elephant TRIBAL fabrics;而非科班出身的君塚涼太,在服裝上也展現其不甘於世俗規則的自由之心,將既有的款式進行解構、拼接、重組,並在版型與尺寸的變化中加入自己獨特的世界觀,創造只屬於 elephant TRIBAL fabrics 的「若有似無之服飾」。
