Jazz Hip Pop in TW - Soft Lipa aka DanBao

Jazz rap is a fusion of hip hop and jazz, developed in the late 1980s and early 1990s. The lyrics are often based on political consciousness, afrocentricity, and general positivism. It’s popular in Japan recently, just like house music, but in Taiwan, never see any great singer or rapper bring back that smooth and relaxation music for TW auditors. Until Soft Lipa aka “DanBao”(Egg Benedict in Chinese) shows up from “Kao hip pop music crew” that make me feel tranquil from his music. Glad to see he drops out his first album in Taiwan. Congratulations, Soft Lipa!

Michael Jackson Tribute @ Taipei Taiwan

Taiwanese found up a Michael Jackson dance commemoration tribute which the concept and choreography all form a Youtude film located at Stockholm, Sweden. The mostly glorification thing is, comparing with Sweden prepared more than 300 dancers for this event, all the Taiwanese guys just volunteer for practicing in a few days on this promotion. It has seen a successful event in Taiwan. Hope everyone likes this meaningful tribute for Michael.

When I saw that idea from the end of the lifelike film, here comes out “Transformer house!!”. It’s totally nice when a projection is visually well balanced within the urban ambiance. All conception of this project consistently derives from its underlying architecture - the theoretic conception and visual pattern of the Hamburg Kunsthalle. It’s pretty hard to calculate all the details on promoting a vivid film on an architecture, not mention to the fitting sound. Anyway, just enjoy the short!

Look at that genius film work!!! Pierre, Damien and a pro race pilot (Stef van Campenhoudt), they decided to collaborate for developing a design a font with a car. All the car movements were tracked using custom software which designed by interactive artist Zachary.
Outerspace Sneakers expo exhibition Recap

Hosted by The Brandery fashion trade fair, the Outspace area devotes itself entirely to urban streetwear and sneakers. Described as a new concept in contemporary urban fashion trade shows, Outerspace will be looking at not only fashion but also the artists and designers who are a part of the urban culture scene. In those show case, as far as the eye can see, there are rows of wooden crates with glass windows that reveal a collection of some of the most incredible rare and vintage sneakers ever seen all in one place. It’s an incredible idea that I have never seen before, hope this good sneaker expo exhibition could be continued. LDope will attend on time!
More pictures at the jump.

The Brandery Fashion Show Recap

After Bread & Butter end, Barcelona held a giant fashion show called <a href="http://www.thebrandery.com/"target="blank">The Brandery at the Montjuïc exhibition site. We are fascinated with it not because of the name, or the ambition of the show, but because they feature an early 1980s Chevrolet Caprice in their promotional posters. Such a nice advertisement that make a attractive eye sight! With less of the big brand names attending it will be a smaller event than B&B, but with an emphasis on local talent and labels like Armand Basi, Pepe and Lacoste exhibiting it might be a serious contender.
