Jazz Hip Pop in TW - Soft Lipa aka DanBao

Jazz rap is a fusion of hip hop and jazz, developed in the late 1980s and early 1990s. The lyrics are often based on political consciousness, afrocentricity, and general positivism. It’s popular in Japan recently, just like house music, but in Taiwan, never see any great singer or rapper bring back that smooth and relaxation music for TW auditors. Until Soft Lipa aka “DanBao”(Egg Benedict in Chinese) shows up from “Kao hip pop music crew” that make me feel tranquil from his music. Glad to see he drops out his first album in Taiwan. Congratulations, Soft Lipa!

The Bloody Beetroots ft. Steve Aoki - Warp

The Bloody Beetroots feat. Steve Aoki - Warp from Francesco Calabrese on Vimeo.

The Bloody Beetroots hit with Steve Aoki (label Dim Mak)! This music video “warp”, directed by Francesco Calabrese, is interesting due to the visual transitions as they slow down and pace up again! Focus on every changing facial expression; I think that would be the most attractive point on this video.
